Family or Career?
Jerry Stanford
Talent Tree Associate since 2006
Jerry Stanford’s wife and three active children are the most important things to him. But an hour-long commute, multi-million dollar responsibilities, and frequent business trips left him with precious little family time. So he came up with a different plan. “I decided to contact a staffing firm to see what it could do for me. In less than a day, I got a managerial job at a small, growing company near my home, managing warehouse operations.” Now his staffing assignment gives Jerry the flexibility to coach his son’s team three to four nights a week and help run the football league. “That’s quality time you just can’t replace. My new job is far better aligned with my priorities than any job I’ve had in the past. If I had known more about staffing firms previously, I would have looked into them a long time ago.”
Because variety is the spice of life.
Sandi Ball
Talent Tree Associate since 2003
Sandi Ball has plenty going on. She’s a member of a professional dance troupe and spends many hours performing, teaching and traveling with the ensemble, along with running her own business. But during the rest of the time, Sandi is a Talent Tree Associate who thrives on the constantly changing scenery of the temporary positions she loves. “I tend to feel stagnant in long-term full-time positions. I like the variety of working for different companies for different lengths of time.” In addition, these temporary positions give Sandi the flexibility to plan ahead for dance performances, especially when they take her out of town. “It’s ideal that I can manage both my dance work and my day job. I don’t have to sacrifice any of my priorities. It’s what I really love about being a Talent Tree Associate.”
Retired? Yes. Not working? No way.
Marie Luft
Talent Tree Associate since 2001
After a long career with the telephone company, Marie retired, but couldn’t imagine leaving the work world entirely. “Since I had worked the majority of my life and had always enjoyed working, I couldn’t fathom the thought of not working. Working temporary assignments seemed like the perfect fit for me — and it has been!” A friend referred Marie to Talent Tree and after submitting her resume and passing the necessary tests, she went on her first assignment. “I remember being a nervous wreck walking into that office for my first temp assignment; however the people there welcomed me with open arms.” Six years and multiple temporary assignments later, Marie continues to thrive as a temporary employee. “By working temp jobs, I’m able to keep in contact with the working world yet still have time for personal commitments. Working for Talent Tree has been an incredible experience for me. I’m looking forward to many more years of employment with Talent Tree!”
Day & Night: the best of both worlds.
Nathan Gibson
Talent Tree Associate since 1987
Nathan plays many roles: webmaster, computer graphics guru, actor, performer. When you look at his resume, you realize how multi-talented he is. Since working as an actor and performer doesn’t usually come with a great deal of job security, Nathan looked to the flexibility of temporary work to provide balance to his career. Starting with Talent Tree over 20 years ago, he’s been able to use his computer design talents and star-quality communication skills to work with many top companies over the years. “If you have the skills, you can count on Talent Tree to get you the job. The people at Talent Tree are excellent at what they do —matching the right person to each position.” By working temporary positions, Nathan continues to enjoy the flexibility of being able to take on acting roles and tour when the right opportunities present themselves. “It’s really the best of both worlds.”
Temporary or permanent — why choose?
Joe Hamilton
Talent Tree Associate since 2001
After working traditional full-time positions in data entry for many years, Joe Hamilton was referred to Talent Tree back in 2001. He was immediately placed in a position that lasted several years, and then was placed again in another position where he still works today. Even though many people think of temporary work as being really short-term, there are times where its duration can last many years. In addition to his success for several companies, he’s held the title of Associate of the Month at Talent Tree and earned bonus loyalty reward checks for his long-term status. “My time with Talent Tree has been very rewarding. In addition to helping me achieve my financial goals, Talent Tree has given me the opportunity to meet some really great people, learn a lot about business and discover something about myself along the way too.”
